Northern Building Products changes name to Northern Architectural Systems — Launches New Website

Northern Building Products, one of metro New York’s oldest and largest commercial windows, door & wall manufacturers has adopted the name of its subsidiary – Northern Architectural Systems. The name change occurred concurrently with the merging of the two related companies.

Over the last 58 years, Northern has supplied energy-efficient products that helped renew many buildings throughout the Boroughs, including Co-Op City in the Bronx and the revival of Industry City on the Brooklyn waterfront. Currently, Northern is providing historic replica windows to the iconic McGraw-Hill Building on 42nd Street.

“The merger of our operations will make our entire portfolio of windows, doors, curtain & window walls, and storefront & entrance doors available to our customers from a single platform which is increasingly important as the marketplace continues to shift towards single-source manufacturing responsibility” according to VP of Business Development, Mike Richard.
The new Northern Architectural Systems will be headquartered just 7 ½ miles from Columbus Circle, as the crow flies, in Teterboro, NJ. The company will maintain two manufacturing facilities — in Teterboro, NJ, and in Carlstadt, NJ.

“By operating under one unified brand we are building an even stronger, more efficient company that is able to meet the future challenges of our changing industry” states President Robert Pecorella.
Northern has also kicked off a new consolidated website that will help customers understand the full breadth of the company’s energy-efficient fenestration solutions www.northernarchitecturalsystems.com
